Read moreOkay, so you've seen my go-to products, but let's dive a little deeper into how I make this 'everything shower' truly work wonders for my skin during the harsh winter months, especially around Christmas! It's not just about what you use, but the order and method that makes all the difference for beating that stubborn dry skin.
First things first, before even stepping into the warm water, I sometimes dry brush for a few minutes. It's a game-changer for boosting circulation and prepping my skin for exfoliation. This really helps with any bumps or dullness.
Once in the shower, I start with my hair. I use the Costco Pureology dupe shampoo to cleanse, focusing on my scalp. After rinsing, this is where my ouzo hair gloss comes in. I apply it before my conditioner, letting it sit for a few minutes to deeply nourish and add shine. Then, while the gloss is working, I grab my Treehut body scrub. This is key for my 'body exfoliation scrub shower routine'! I gently scrub my entire body in circular motions, paying extra attention to elbows, knees, and any dry patches. The peppermint pearl shower gel from Tree Hut also gets a shout-out here for its invigorating scent that just feels so festive and fresh. After rinsing the scrub, I apply my conditioner (if I'm using one in addition to the gloss, or if I skip the gloss for a lighter wash day) and let it sit while I move on to my body and face.
For body washing, Cetaphil body wash is gentle yet effective. And for shaving, the eos vanilla shave butter is an absolute dream! It creates such a smooth, silky lather that prevents razor burn and leaves my legs feeling incredibly soft – perfect for winter. I always finish my in-shower routine with my LRP face washes to ensure my skin is completely clean and ready for serums.
Now, the crucial 'out of shower' part, which is just as important as the 'in shower' steps for locking in moisture. As soon as I step out, while my skin is still damp, I immediately apply my Redken ABC leave-in treatment to my hair. This protects and nourishes it without weighing it down. Then, for my body, I layer on the Lush Sticky Dates lotion. It's so hydrating and smells heavenly! For any extra dry areas or breakouts, the LRP Cicaplast is my savior.
And for those specific dry spots? The CeraVe healing ointment goes straight onto my hands – especially after all the hand washing during cold and flu season! Don't forget your cuticles; a quick drop of cuticle oil makes a huge difference. Finally, to tackle any tension and add a little scent, I roll on the Frenshe vanilla magnesium stick, and of course, my vanilla lip mask from Trader Joe’s for soft, kissable lips. This whole 'shower routine products in order' really ensures every part of my body gets the love it needs. It's truly a luxurious self-care ritual that helps me combat winter dryness and come out feeling refreshed, soft, and ready for whatever the day (or evening!) holds. Give it a try, especially if your skin is craving some extra TLC!
Welcome! So excited to see more from you in the future💛
