my favorite books of 2023 📖

... Read moreHey fellow bookworms! You know that feeling when a book just completely sweeps you off your feet, making you grin from ear to ear or even literally kick your feet with excitement? That's exactly how I felt about so many of my reads last year, especially 'Practice Makes Perfect' by Sarah Adams! If you're looking for books that spark pure joy and leave you feeling utterly giddy, you've come to the right place. Sarah Adams is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors for cozy, heartwarming romance, and 'Practice Makes Perfect' definitely cemented that. The story of a charming florist and a sweet, slightly grumpy hero just hit all the right notes. It’s so cute and sweet that it truly had me giggling and kicking my feet from happiness while reading. The couple in the flower shop on the pink book cover perfectly encapsulates the delightful vibe inside. It's the kind of book you want to curl up with on a rainy day, knowing you're in for a good time. But it wasn't just Sarah Adams who had me in a chokehold last year! The raw emotion and intrigue of 'Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing' by Jessa Hastings altered my brain chemistry in the best way possible. And speaking of emotional rollercoasters, the 'Boys of Tommen' series by Chloe Walsh, including 'Binding,' 'Saving,' and 'For Keeps,' was deeply powerful. It can be sad and hard to read at times, but the happy moments are so incredibly rewarding, making it all worth it. Just remember to check those trigger warnings! Then there's 'The Roommate Pact' by Allison Ashley, a romance so good I binged it basically in one sitting and was giddy the whole time. It really showed how a well-crafted story can physically change your mood! And I can't forget 'More Than Just Us' by Allie Otoski, which I got to read early on my e-reader – it’s my best friend's debut novel and it's so good, promising more of those heartwarming, feel-good vibes that make you want to shout about it from the rooftops. Finding books that evoke such strong, positive physical reactions, whether it's giggling, kicking your feet, or just feeling warm and fuzzy inside, is truly magical. It’s all about connecting with the characters and getting lost in their world. So, if you're craving reads that will make you physically react with joy, definitely give these a try. What books made you kick your feet with excitement in 2023?
