my new favorite Emily Henry book 💙🛶🍋🍷🫐🍓

This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2024 and it did not disappoint!! I have not stopped thinking about it since I read it!

No one does banter like Emily Henry and I couldn’t get enough of these characters. The summer setting is also so fun — it makes me want to go to Michigan!

Miles is my new favorite book boyfriend I just love him so much 🥹🥹

I also filmed a reading vlog reading it that’s up on my YouTube channel!

(There is a couple spicy scenes in this book)

... Read moreOkay, so let's talk more about why Miles from 'Funny Story' has completely stolen my heart and claimed the title of my new favorite Emily Henry book boyfriend! The original post just scratched the surface of how charming and utterly swoon-worthy he is. From the moment he's introduced, you get this incredible sense of his grounded nature, his subtle humor, and the way he just gets Daphne. It's not an instant, over-the-top declaration, but a slow burn of understanding and mutual respect that really makes their connection feel authentic. What I absolutely adore about Miles is his unwavering support for Daphne, even when things are messy. He doesn't try to fix her problems, but he's there, a steady presence, offering comfort and a listening ear. His banter with Daphne is pure gold – quick-witted, hilarious, and full of that underlying affection that makes Emily Henry's dialogues so famous. It truly captures those 'cozy, sweet, funny, and summery vibes' that make this book such a joy to read. Their relationship journey in 'Funny Story' isn't without its bumps, which is what makes it so real and relatable. You see them navigating their individual baggage and learning to trust again, not just each other, but themselves. Miles isn't a perfect character, which only makes him more endearing. His flaws and vulnerabilities make his love for Daphne even more poignant. He's the kind of guy who makes you believe in second chances and quiet, profound love. For anyone wondering about 'Daphne and Miles,' their dynamic is truly the heart of the story. Daphne, with her own unique quirks and challenges, finds in Miles a partner who sees her, accepts her, and genuinely wants to build something meaningful. Their growth as a couple, from reluctant housemates to something much deeper, is beautifully portrayed. It’s less about grand gestures and more about the small moments, the shared laughter, and the quiet understanding that truly binds them. This book solidifies why Emily Henry is a master of contemporary romance. She crafts characters like Miles who feel so real you wish you could grab coffee with them, and relationships like Daphne and Miles's that remind you of the beauty of finding love in unexpected places. If you're looking for a romance that's full of heart, humor, and a leading man you'll instantly fall for, you absolutely have to pick up 'Funny Story.' Miles will not disappoint!
