I've already shared my top 9 picks, but I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why these shows made the cut and how I build my ultimate anime watch list each season. My picks this season are a total mix, perfect for anyone looking to explore different anime genres. If you're into epic fantasy, Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is a no-brainer. Seeing Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, and Happy back for another adventure against a backdrop of powerful dragons just feels right. It's the kind of classic action-packed fantasy that always delivers. Then we jump into the wild world of Isekai. While I'm not specifically looking for "isekai harem loop" series, I'm always intrigued by unique takes on the 'transported to another world' trope. Suicide Squad Isekai looks absolutely bonkers – Harley Quinn with her iconic bat in a fantasy setting? And with that clear DC logo on the poster, you know it's going to be a chaotic, fun ride. It's a fresh twist on the whole concept! Similarly, No Longer Allowed In Another World with its intriguing cast of an elf, a boy, a man, and a cat-eared girl against a castle and dragon background, promises a different flavor of otherworldly adventure. For those who love a good laugh and something completely unexpected, My Deer Friend Nokotan is high on my list. The visual of schoolgirls, one with deer antlers, and a giant deer head above an exploding school building from the poster immediately caught my eye. It screams quirky comedy, and I'm here for it! If you're wondering about a "surf anime movie" or just anime with a relaxed, beautiful setting, let me tell you about Twilight out of Focus. While it might not be about surfing, the image of two young men standing in shallow water on a beach with a sunset sky just radiates calm and beautiful storytelling. It's the perfect vibe for a chill watch. And speaking of unique settings, A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring with a man and two small, blue-haired children in a water setting looks like a heartwarming blend of fantasy and slice-of-life parenthood. For a dose of historical action, The Elusive Samurai looks amazing. The characters in traditional Japanese attire, wielding swords against a fiery background, promise intense battles and compelling drama. And then we have the more unique, almost mystery-supernatural vibe of Delico's Nursery, showing adults and children in a grand, ornate room – it has me curious about its hidden depths. Finally, The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to be Archenemies offers a sweet, perhaps comedic, romance with its black-haired man and white-haired magical girl surrounded by blue flowers.
