Finalized my room decor and went with an aesthetic that I absolutely LOVE! Will still be adding things here and there but overall I’m happy about how it turned out!!
... Read moreHey everyone! Since sharing my room tour, I've had so many questions about how I put together my cozy, aesthetic space, especially with all the K-Pop touches. I wanted to dive a bit deeper into some of my favorite DIY and decor ideas that helped me create a room I absolutely adore. If you're looking for bts room ideas or diy room decor aesthetic handmade, you're in the right place!
First things first, creating that dreamy vibe. One of my favorite additions is the artificial ivy vines draped across my walls and shelves, especially paired with blue string lights. It instantly adds such a soft, magical glow, perfect for unwinding after a long day. You can find these vines pretty affordably online or at craft stores, and they're super easy to hang with some small command hooks. The blue lights really make the K-pop group poster in my corner pop!
Speaking of K-Pop, my wall shelves are probably my most loved feature. I've dedicated them to showcasing my K-pop items – from lightsticks and photo cards to a cute figurine. It’s so much fun to arrange them, and it feels like a little gallery of my passions. For diy room decor aesthetic handmade touches, consider making your own photo card displays or even painting small wooden blocks to elevate your collectibles. Don't forget those K-pop posters! I have some on my doors and above my desk area, bringing so much personality to the space.
My desk area is where a lot of the magic happens – and it's functional too! I have my computer and printer for school, but I've also incorporated a grid panel where I clip instant photos of friends and favorite memories. It's a wonderful, personalized handmade touch that makes the space uniquely mine. You can switch out the photos whenever you like for a fresh look. Plus, I have an Attack on Titan poster which shows off another side of my interests, proving you can mix themes!
Another really personal diy element is my vision board. It's a collage of images and text related to personal goals, health, education, and lifestyle aspirations, including a little note about aiming for 'Class Rank 1/115'. Having it prominently displayed between my doors is a daily reminder of what I'm working towards. It's so empowering and a super easy handmade project – just grab some magazines, printouts, and glue!
For a touch of whimsy and comfort, I absolutely adore my white canopy net over my bed. It makes the bed feel like a little sanctuary and adds a really romantic, cozy aesthetic. Paired with my Miffy plush, it’s the ultimate relaxation spot. On my dresser, I have an artificial white orchid, some books, and a magnifying mirror alongside a silver camera and a tray with accessories. These small details, like the artificial white flowers on my nightstand, make the room feel complete and lived-in.
Even my black handbag hanging on the door has a handmade touch with various keychains, including a photo card, a heart charm, and plush toys. It's a subtle way to show off my personality and love for K-pop.
My biggest tip for anyone wanting to create an aesthetic and personalized room is to start with what you love. Whether it’s bts room ideas or general cozy diy room decor, find pieces that speak to you and aren't afraid to mix and match. It doesn't have to be perfect; it just has to feel like *you*. What handmade touches are you excited to add to your space?
