Day 1 + 2 of The Summer Forty Forty Challenge!
I’m so excited to be doing the summer forty forty challenge! We are going through the book of Acts while walking Forty miles in Forty days! There are also challenges and journaling everyday to go along with it!
Forty days appears many times in the Bible.
Noah: it rained for forty days and forty nights during the flood
Moses: spend 40 days and 40 nights on mount Sinai
The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty days before entering the promise land
Jesus fasted and was tempted in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights before beginning his public ministry
After Jesus was resurrected he appeared to his disciples over a period of 40 days.

I’ve grown to appreciate how the number forty is significant throughout the Bible, as mentioned in the challenge—from Noah’s 40 days and nights of rain, Moses’s time on Mount Sinai, to Jesus fasting in the wilderness. These stories remind me that spiritual preparation and transformation often require dedicated periods of commitment. The journaling aspect has been instrumental in helping me internalize daily lessons.
