It’s a fun activity that also reinforces the message “God is love.” I’ve noticed when children add colors and creativity to these verses, the lessons stick better and become part of their everyday mindset. Practicing Bible verses through crafts also opens opportunities to incorporate other educational elements like counting and color recognition. For example, while reciting Matthew 22:37, children can count hearts or color verses, which supports both spiritual growth and cognitive skills. Incorporating these faith-based crafts creates meaningful moments that extend well beyond Valentine’s Day, embedding a true understanding of God’s love in children’s hearts. It’s a joyful, interactive way to teach that love is about kindness, service, and obedience—reflecting the love Jesus showed us every day.
