Is This A Pre-Excuse To Never Commit?

I think there’s a difference between marriage isn’t for me and I want the life of a married person without ever being held to it. If you’re expecting loyalty, a shared home, financial merging, kids you’re already living a marriage without the paperwork. So when someone says they don’t believe in marriage, I hear: I want the benefits without the promise. And if that’s their truth, fine but it’s also my right to leave if commitment matters to me. Both things can be true.
