Men often stay in the friend zone because they’re afraid of rejection, don’t communicate their intentions clearly, or accept less than they want instead of risking honesty.

Men are just as much scared as women are to commit due to them being cheated or feeling betrayed. So now both sides choose the friend zone even though you are pretty much doing the couple thing. Only difference is if you want to leave then go without having to explain because all you ever were was just friends. Those are my feelings anyways from my experience. I’ve cared too much before that I’ve chosen to be just friends just because I don’t want to be physically or mentally abused by anyone anymore.
