Protection spells keep us SANE y’all don’t skip them #witch #spells #spellwork #witchtip #manifestation
Hey everyone! We all need a little extra shielding from time to time, right? Life can throw a lot at us, and for me, protection spells aren't just about warding off negativity – they're about maintaining my peace of mind and staying centered. If you've been feeling drained or like you're carrying too much, this simple 5-step protection spell is what I always turn to. It's incredibly effective and easy to incorporate into your routine. Let's make sure we're all staying sane and supported! Step 1: Cleanse Yourself and Your Space Before you even think about casting, cleansing is crucial. Think of it like hitting the refresh button. I usually start by cleansing my own energy with a quick smoke cleanse using palo santo or sage, wafting the smoke around my body, especially focusing on areas where I feel stagnant. Then, I move onto my space. You can open windows to let fresh air in, light a cleansing incense, or even just visualize a bright, white light filling the room and pushing out any lingering negativity. This step ensures you're starting with a clean slate, making your protection work much more potent. Step 2: Gather Your Herbs & Set Your Intentions Now for the magical ingredients! For this spell, I love working with Rosemary, Mugwort, and Anise. Each brings its own unique protective qualities. Rosemary is fantastic for purification and warding off evil. I often feel a sense of clarity when I use it. Mugwort is amazing for psychic protection and helps me feel safe from unwanted energetic intrusions. And Anise is wonderful for warding off the evil eye and bringing good fortune. While you're gathering them, hold each herb and silently (or aloud!) state your intention for it. For example, 'Rosemary, protect me from all harm.' You'll also need a candle for this step – white is always a good choice for general protection and purity. Step 3: Dress Your Candle This is where you infuse your candle with your protective energy. Take your candle and anointing oil (olive oil works perfectly if you don't have a specific magical oil). Gently rub the oil onto the candle, moving from the middle outwards to both ends. As you do this, sprinkle your chosen herbs – Rosemary, Mugwort, Anise – onto the candle, pressing them gently so they adhere. As you're dressing the candle, really focus on your intention for protection. Visualize a shield of light forming around you, imagine feeling safe and secure. This physical act of dressing the candle is a powerful way to direct your energy into the spell. Step 4: Light Your Candle & Connect Find a safe, quiet space where you won't be disturbed. Place your dressed candle in a fire-safe holder. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself. When you feel ready, light the candle. As the flame ignites, feel a connection forming between you, the candle, and your intention. This isn't just a pretty flame; it's a beacon of your protective energy. Sit with it for a moment, simply observing the flame and feeling the presence of your intention. Step 5: Burn Your Intentions & Visualize Your Goals This is a powerful culmination of your spell. On a small piece of paper, clearly write down your specific protection intention. It could be something like, 'I am protected from negative energy,' or 'My home is a sanctuary of peace.' Carefully light the edge of the paper from your candle flame and place it in a fire-safe bowl to burn completely. As the paper turns to ash, strongly visualize your goals for protection manifesting. See yourself surrounded by a bubble of light, feel a sense of absolute security, and truly believe that your intentions are being set into motion. Once the candle has burned down (or you can snuff it out safely and relight for subsequent workings), give thanks to the universe or your guides for their assistance. I find doing this regularly, especially when I feel my energy dipping, keeps me feeling strong and balanced. Give it a try – you might be surprised at how much difference a little intentional protection can make!
