The Dutch Pancakehouse 🥞❤️

My recent trip to Aruba was truly unforgettable, and a big part of that was discovering the absolute delight that is The Dutch Pancakehouse in Oranjestad! If you're looking for an incredible breakfast or brunch spot on the island, you simply cannot miss this place. It quickly became a highlight of my culinary adventures, and I’m already dreaming of my next visit. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so welcoming – a perfect blend of casual island charm and bustling energy. It’s clear this spot is popular with both locals and tourists, and for good reason! I went twice during my stay, and each time, I found something new to love. On my first visit, I dove straight into their famous waffles. The OCR mentioned "Mini waffles," and let me tell you, these were perfectly golden, fluffy, and just begging for toppings. I opted for a generous helping of chocolate chips and a mountain of whipped cream – pure indulgence! What truly blew me away, though, were the loaded house potatoes on the side. They were crispy, seasoned just right, and absolutely addictive. It was the perfect savory counterpoint to my sweet waffle masterpiece. My second visit was dedicated to experiencing their namesake: the pancakes! I chose one of their large, crepe-like pancakes, which are famously thin yet incredibly satisfying. The OCR also highlighted "Sweet Pancakes," and mine was definitely a sweet dream. I piled on fresh strawberries, a dusting of powdered sugar, and, of course, more whipped cream. It was light, decadent, and melted in my mouth with every bite. Pairing it with another round of those incredible loaded house potatoes just sealed the deal. It’s comforting to know that even if you’re a sweet-breakfast person, their savory sides like the potatoes are equally fantastic and truly round out the meal. Beyond the delicious food, the service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. If you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend going a bit earlier in the morning to beat the rush, especially on weekends, as it can get quite busy. The Dutch Pancakehouse is conveniently located, making it an easy stop before or after exploring other parts of Oranjestad. Whether you’re craving a classic Dutch pancake, a hearty waffle, or just some amazing breakfast potatoes, this place delivers on all fronts. It’s definitely a culinary gem in Aruba that you’ll want to add to your itinerary!
