You want someone who sees you.
Hears you.
Believes in you.
Find that man whose heart posture is to put others first, to believe the best of people, to seek God, to honor his loved ones.
His character will speak for him first.
If you keep attracting men who cheat, lie, and harm, it’s because you are attracting familiar.
Get familiar with loving yourself. You’ll also meet God there. He first loved us.
You’ll find Him the more you seek Him.
Then, you’ll meet a man who treats your heart with the care it deserves.
Once you receive the love you need, you can see it in others.
No longer do you attract what is familiar or the yes man you bulldoze over.
You find love.

I married young out of obligation.
I didn’t know it at first.
In fact, I didn’t know how to love him right nor receive that love.
I had it for my babies but not for him.
I got a divorce and met the same cheating and pain in many others after.
Until, I took time to heal with the Lord, alone.
Once I did that, I met a man who was so loving, so safe that it scared me. It felt too good to be true, but it wasn’t.
And there were little signs to confirm he was the one.
No one chased, pleaded, cried. We both knew.
That is love, and I promise you’ll find it too.
I took the wrong path enough times to know the right path now two years in, engaged and headed to the most beautiful marriage I could have never imagined.
Follow my advice, I promise. You can and will have a happy ending too.

Whether or not you are religious, taking time for introspection and personal development can lead to greater emotional safety and clarity in relationships. Look for signs beyond surface attraction—does the person listen to you? Do they respect your opinions? Do they consistently show care and integrity? True love is steady and does not require chasing or pleading. The right partner will value your heart and work with you to build a healthy, supportive relationship. Remember, finding love is a journey, and sometimes it means taking a step back to heal and understand yourself better. Trust that by refusing to settle and focusing on self-love, you open the door to a lasting, meaningful connection that enriches your life.
