Things I do during my Luteal and Menstrual phases
These are the weeks where your hormones (specifically estrogen) PLUMMET! We don’t feel our best and feel like little gremlins hiding under a bridge. It’s OKAY to feel like that. That’s how we’re made! (Even if it sucks.) These are a few things I do to make myself feel a bit more human and less oger-ish during that time.
ALSO clean your home before you get to this stage so it stays cleaner longer and you’re not feeling like you need to clean when you REALLY don’t want to.

Understanding the luteal and menstrual phases is crucial for women's health. During the luteal phase, which occurs after ovulation and before menstruation, women may experience mood swings, fatigue, and cravings due to hormonal fluctuations. These changes can lead to feelings of irritability and discomfort, often referred to as premenstrual syndrome (PMS). To alleviate these symptoms, consider incorporating mindfulness practices such as meditation or yoga, which can help balance your emotions. Additionally, a nutritious diet rich in whole foods, especially fruits and vegetables, can support hormone regulation and improve energy levels. It's also beneficial to stay hydrated and engage in light exercise, such as walking or stretching, to combat fatigue and enhance mood. Social support is vital during this time; talking with friends or family about how you feel can provide relief and understanding. Finally, ensure to prioritize rest; quality sleep is paramount for emotional and physical well-being during these phases. These practices can transform your experience during the luteal and menstrual cycles, making these challenging times more manageable.
