Peer pressured into reading this book…

Let me say I was NOT picking up this book eager to read it. I had DNFed the last two books that were “popular” titles and thought that my preference was not in line with main stream media. But enough of my friends told me to read it that I gave it a shot.

I knew very little about this story, but I knew the first book was very much world building and was often described as a “ticket to the rest of the series.” So I think that helped me give it some grace.

A majority of this book I was incredibly annoyed with Feyre, TimTam gave me very weird vibes, and it was pretty slow going… the last fourth of the book however was so redeeming and I met my current favorite character!

I’m about half way through the second book and understand now why all of that first book was so important! I’m so enjoying this series currently! Hopefully I continue to feel the same!

I was the same way about it until a girl at work told me to give it a shot and that I’d love it. I had the first book done within a week. I’m not on the second book on chapter 16
