Did you know your hair texture can change??

I have had stick straight hair my whole life, but in the last couple years it’s turned into this wavy soft curl texture! These are some of the reasons this can happen!

1. Hormonal changes - Hormones control literally every function in your body… including what your skin looks like and in this case, hair! This can be brought on by pregnancy, medication, and by certain autoimmune diseases.

2. Stress - This is what happened to me. I endured a high stress situation that lasted several months. This stress caused a surge through my body that cause many things to change for me including my hair texture.

3. Aging - As we age, our bodies change and that can affect your hair as well! We often see kids go from curly to straight hair or vice versa and that can happen later in life as well!

Funny enough, all of these are ultimately linked to your hormones tho! When we are in high levels of stress cortisol is released in our bodies, changing our hormones, and when we age our hormones adjust as well! Taking care of your body is so important because it effects literally everything!

If any one knows a good light weight curl cream for fine waves hair I’m all ears 😂 I have no clue how to manage this!

... Read moreIs your hair changing texture? You're not alone! Many people notice variations in their hair over time, often due to hormonal shifts, stress, or the natural aging process. Hormones play a crucial role, influencing hair growth and texture. For instance, during pregnancy or while taking certain medications, hormonal fluctuations can lead to curls becoming straighter or vice versa. Stress, especially prolonged periods of it, can release cortisol, impacting overall health and hair texture. Aging also brings changes—it's common for younger individuals to have straight hair that can become wavy or curly as they age. It's essential to adopt a holistic approach to hair care during these changes, focusing on nourishment and moisture. If you're seeking ways to manage fine waves or curls, research lightweight curl creams designed specifically for textured hair. These products can help add definition without weighing the hair down. Remember, maintaining a healthy lifestyle plays a significant role in keeping your hair vibrant and manageable as it undergoes these transformations. Whether you're navigating hormonal changes or simply learning to love your hair's evolving texture, embracing the process is key to a positive hair journey!
