Bible Verses That Calm My Anxiety At Night 🙌🏾
Bestie, I can’t tell you how many times I have cried at night.
Times when I have felt alone.
It wasn’t like I didn’t have a support system.
My feelings made me feel as if reaching out would simply bother people.
Of course, those feelings were rooted in lies from the enemy, which is Satan.
I’ve learned that his only goal is to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)
His goal includes making attempts to steal peace to steal joy to steal love and many good things that God has for us as believers in faith.
I’m so grateful that there is more to that John 10:10 verse because the Bible also shares that Jesus came that we may have life in life more abundantly.
The above Bible verses are some of God’s promises and have really calmed those lies that the enemy has made attempts to plant in my mind.
And, I pray that they would inspire you like they are still inspiring me to know the truth, which is found in God’s word.
Seriously Bestie, if this resonated with you, I would love to be able to share more things that I’ve learned found in God’s word in Empower Her Mail.
Every week, I’m going to send you faith inspiration to help you to build by faith.
Not simple things that I looked up online or used in a simple app.
There are things that I’ve actually lived and learned through God‘s word so you can also experience abundant life through Jesus Christ.
Struggling with nighttime anxiety is something many of us experience, and finding comfort in scripture can be a deeply personal and healing practice. From my own journey, I’ve found that reciting verses such as 2 Timothy 1:7, which reminds us that "Fear is a spirit and a spirit that does not come from God," helps me to reframe my anxious thoughts and replace them with faith. Another verse that has truly anchored my peace is 1 Peter 5:7: "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." This verse encourages me to surrender my worries instead of carrying them alone, especially when the silence of the night makes us feel isolated. Psalm 27:1 also reassures me, saying, "The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?" It’s a beautiful reminder that God's presence is a guiding light in the darkness. In my own experience, combining these verses with prayer creates a powerful practice that not only calms racing thoughts but also builds a foundation of trust in God’s protection and love. Romans 8:31, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" inspires confidence amid fear and reminds me that I am never truly alone. Incorporating these scriptures into a nightly routine—whether through journaling, meditation, or speaking them aloud—has transformed my nights from moments of isolation to quiet times of spiritual renewal. If you find yourself overwhelmed by anxious thoughts, consider creating a small ritual with these verses to help you center your mind and heart before sleep. Remember, anxiety can feel like a thief of peace, but God’s promises are greater. These verses are not just words, but truths that can guard your heart and mind. Whether you’re navigating loneliness, fear, or stress, knowing you are cared for by a loving God can bring abundant life and rest. I encourage you to explore more faith-building inspiration and live this abundant life through regular encouragement and connection with God’s word.

Amen 🙏
