It’s time✨
There are scriptures I heard growing up…
…but didn’t truly understand until life humbled me.
If I had learned these earlier, I would’ve surrendered sooner, trusted faster, and worried less.
That’s why I wrote Bet on God.
For the woman learning faith in real time.

It's incredible how some truths only truly sink in when you've lived through enough to appreciate their depth. I remember feeling so overwhelmed by decisions, constantly second-guessing every move, and letting anxiety steal my peace. It felt like I was always searching for a sign, always waiting for absolute certainty before taking a step. That's exactly why the message of surrendering and trusting became so vital in my journey. One scripture that truly resonated with me during those times was Proverbs 3:5-6: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.' For years, I'd heard it, but it was only when life threw its curveballs that I truly understood what 'lean not on your own understanding' meant. It's about acknowledging that my finite mind can't always grasp the bigger picture, and sometimes, the best thing to do is release control and let God lead. Stopping the endless cycle of second-guessing isn't easy, but I've found a few things that really help. First, it’s about recognizing the source of the doubt. Is it fear of failure? Fear of judgment? Often, our insecurities whisper louder than our faith. When those thoughts creep in, I try to consciously pause and ask myself, 'Am I standing on God's promises or my own anxieties?' This simple question often helps me re-center. Another practical step is to practice gratitude. When you start focusing on what you do have and the blessings in your life, it shifts your perspective from lack and uncertainty to abundance and trust. It reminds you of God's faithfulness in the past, which strengthens your belief for the future. I keep a small journal where I jot down things I'm grateful for each day, and it's amazing how it can reframe my mindset. Surrendering doesn't mean becoming passive; it means actively choosing to believe that God has your best interests at heart, even when things look messy. It’s like being on a bumpy road – you can white-knuckle the steering wheel and try to control every jolt, or you can trust the driver (God) to get you to your destination safely, even if the ride isn't always smooth. For me, this looked like stepping out in faith even when I didn't have all the answers, whether it was starting a new project, making a big life decision, or simply navigating a challenging relationship. Each time I chose to trust, I saw how things eventually fell into place, often in ways I couldn't have imagined on my own. So, if you're someone who wants to stop second-guessing and start living with more peace and conviction, remember that it's a journey, not a destination. It's about daily choices to lean into faith, to trust that greater wisdom is at play, and to give yourself permission to release the need for perfect control. Embrace the process, pray for clarity, and watch how your path becomes clearer as you truly learn to bet on God.
