A Church Story✨
I grew up as a church kid.
My dad has been a pastor my whole life, and my mom, a Sunday school teacher. I was around God’s word constantly.
But if I’m honest… just because I was in church didn’t always mean I was excited about it.
I loved the music and the people, but studying the Bible sometimes felt boring to me back then.
Now that I’m older, I’m so grateful for my parents and my church family who kept showing up, praying, teaching, and loving me anyway.
Seeds were being planted even when I didn’t realize it.
So if you’re new to faith, a young person figuring things out, or a parent praying for your kids…please don’t give up.
God’s word has a way of staying with us and growing in our hearts over time.
Keep shining your light.
Keep speaking life.
Keep pointing people to Jesus! Amen!
You never know the seeds you’re planting today that God will grow tomorrow💕
Bestie, if this encouraged you even a little, leave a “🌱” so I know I’m not the only church kid with a story like this.

Growing up as a church kid often means being surrounded by faith from an early age, like in my own experience where my dad served as a pastor and my mom taught Sunday school. While it seemed like the faith community was always nearby, I can honestly say that not every moment felt inspiring or exciting. I especially remember how Bible study sometimes felt dull and hard to connect with during my younger years. However, with time and reflection, I’ve come to appreciate the unwavering support from my church family and parents. Their consistent prayers, teachings, and love planted seeds that have grown deep within me—even when I wasn’t aware of it at the time. This gradual growth is something many can relate to, especially those new to faith or learning how to nurture their spiritual roots. One important lesson is to be patient and persistent. Faith isn't always about dramatic moments but about steady growth, sometimes happening quietly. If you’re navigating doubts or if you're a parent hoping your child embraces faith, remember that perseverance and unconditional love are key. The church community also plays an essential role in that journey. Being part of a welcoming congregation provides opportunities to shine your light and share encouragement with others. For those looking to find a supportive place, local churches—like Centennial Baptist Church in Oklahoma—open their doors warmly, ready to pray and walk alongside you. Reflecting personally, the music, fellowship, and shared stories have been significant in keeping me connected, even on days when studying scripture feels less engaging. The truth is, God’s word can resonate in countless ways over time, and planting seeds today often leads to growth and blessings tomorrow. For anyone feeling unsure or new to this path, know you are not alone. Keep seeking, keep shining, and keep planting seeds of faith and hope. Your story matters, and the impact extends beyond what you can see now.

praise God 🙌 thanks well appreciated 🥰
