My first Riley Sager

I had just finished reading We used to live here by Marcus Kliewer and I have got to say I have way more questions than answers. I had some other books lined up to read but after reading we used to live here I need to keep the October book vibes going and someone had suggested I read The only one left. It is my first Riley Sager read.

Any thoughts? Have you read this book? Is it worth the hype?

And please suggest what other Riley Sager books to read☺️

... Read moreI'm so excited to dive into a new Riley Sager novel, especially 'The Only One Left,' which has been on my TBR list for a while! After finishing a pretty intense psychological thriller, I knew I couldn't just switch to something light. The autumn air and spooky season demand something with a bit more suspense, and Sager always seems to deliver on that front. Deciding to pick this one up on my Kindle e-reader felt like the perfect choice to continue those October book vibes. There’s something uniquely satisfying about reading a thriller on a Kindle. The ability to carry an entire library in one slim device means I can pick up precisely where I left off, whether I’m cozied up on the couch, waiting for coffee, or even trying to squeeze in a few pages before bed. For a suspense novel like 'The Only One Left,' the immersive experience of a Kindle really shines. The adjustable backlight means I can read late into the night without disturbing anyone, and the lack of distractions helps me get completely lost in the story. Plus, the convenience of instantly looking up unfamiliar words or character names without breaking my reading flow is a huge bonus. What drew me to 'The Only One Left' in particular, beyond it being a Riley Sager, was the intriguing premise I’ve heard whispers about. The idea of a secluded mansion and a mysterious past always grabs my attention, perfectly fitting the atmospheric mood I crave this time of year. Just looking at the cover on my Kindle – featuring that dramatic house on a rocky cliff above a stormy sea – already sets the tone for a chilling read. I'm hopeful for those signature Sager twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. The anticipation is half the fun, isn't it? As this is my inaugural journey into Riley Sager's bibliography, I'm really keen to know what seasoned fans think. Is 'The Only One Left' a good starting point for his work, or should I have picked another? And for those who've devoured his entire collection, what other Riley Sager books would you recommend I add to my Kindle after this one? I’m always on the hunt for my next gripping read, especially if it keeps the suspense high and the pages turning. Any tips for getting the most out of a Sager thriller on a Kindle e-reader are also welcome!
