For city dwellers, Atlanta lights up with incredible holiday displays throughout December and January. My personal favorite is visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden for their Garden Lights, Holiday Nights event – it’s absolutely breathtaking! If you're planning a visit or just curious about living here during the colder months, my advice is always to layer up! Our weather can be unpredictable, going from chilly mornings to mild afternoons. And if there's even a whisper of snow or ice in the forecast, stock up on essentials and plan to stay home. Trust me, the roads can get tricky quickly! But don't let that deter you; winter in Georgia has a unique charm. It’s a mix of cozy comfort, rare natural beauty, and plenty of opportunities to make wonderful memories, whether you're building a snowman or just enjoying a sunny, crisp day outdoors.
