Stop Carrying What God Didn’t Assign to You

Sometimes we think being there for people means carrying everything they’re going through.

But that’s not what God called us to do.

📖 Galatians 6:2 reminds us to support one another…

but not take ownership of burdens that aren’t ours.

There’s a difference between helping… and carrying.

Protect your peace.

Pray… don’t carry.

💬 Type “I RELEASE IT” if this is for you

While it's natural to want to help those we care about, I've found that trying to fix or carry their problems often leads to exhaustion and stress. Instead, embracing Galatians 6:2's teaching to 'bear one another's burdens' means offering support without absorbing the emotional weight that isn't ours to carry. One practical approach I use is listening compassionately and then letting go of the issue in prayer. This practice helps me maintain my peace and avoid burnout. It's important to recognize that taking on another's struggles can start to weigh down your own heart and mind, making it harder to fulfill your own God-given purpose. Setting boundaries is essential. I remind myself daily that being there for someone doesn't mean becoming their emotional garbage can. Supporting others means encouraging them, praying for them, and standing with them—in love and faith—without losing myself in their difficulties. This balance has deepened my faith and brought emotional clarity. Remember, God calls us to help, not to carry burdens that were never intended for us. When you find yourself overwhelmed, take a moment to pray and say, “I release it.” Protecting your peace is an act of obedience and self-care within your spiritual journey.
