I tend to carry allot on me at all times, this is what I tend to keap in my main bag. Ofc I might change into a smaller purse for the evening, but my main bag for the time being is what I carry most things in. I change the bag often, but not so much the supply’s #whatsinmybag
Sorry this isn’t too aesthetic lol.

For me, it’s not just about tossing things in; it's about being prepared for whatever the day throws at me, whether it's an unexpected meeting or a sudden burst of creative inspiration. I've learned a few tricks over the years to keep my bag from becoming a black hole, and I’m excited to share them with you!
First off, pouches are a game-changer. Seriously, if you take one thing away from this, let it be the power of a good pouch. I use several mesh pouches (like my cute heart-patterned one) to categorize everything. My first pouch, for instance, is my absolute beauty and hair SOS kit. Inside, you’ll find a compact mirror brush, a couple of black hair ties, and a trusty bobby pin. These are lifesavers for quick touch-ups or when my hair decides to have a mind of its own. No more rummaging at the bottom of my bag just to find a hair tie!
Then there's the personal care pouch. This one is non-negotiable. It’s where I keep my travel pads, tampons, and a small tube of all-purpose cream. It’s all about being discreet and prepared, no matter what. Having these essentials neatly tucked away means I’m never caught off guard. Trust me, it brings so much peace of mind.
My third pouch is a bit of a mix-and-match, but equally important. It houses my hand cream (a total must-have, especially with all the hand washing these days!), hand wipes, sunglasses for those unexpectedly bright moments, a small brush for quick detangling, and a couple of pens. And let's not forget the lip care arsenal: my favorite lip gloss and lip balms. A quick swipe of lip gloss can instantly make you feel a bit more put-together, even on a hectic day.
Beyond the pouches, I always carry some 'extra extra' items. My vanilla body spray and blue deodorant are perfect for a mid-day refresh, especially after running errands. A pink lip mask is great for keeping my lips hydrated, and a clear pill organizer is essential for any daily vitamins or meds. And of course, a good book – currently, 'Under the Influence' by Noelle Crooks – and my trusty sketchbook are always with me. You never know when inspiration will strike, or when you'll have a few minutes to dive into another world. My keys, adorned with a few fun keychains, are always easy to grab thanks to their bulk.
So, my tip for making your bag work for you? Think about your typical day. What are the small annoyances you encounter? Is it dry hands, messy hair, or a moment of boredom? Pack items that solve those problems. And remember, organization doesn't have to be perfect or super aesthetic (as my original post jokingly noted). It just needs to work for *you*. What are your absolute, can't-live-without bag essentials?
