I Will Continue to get Better with Thor

Hey everyone! So, you've probably seen my latest Thor Highlight in Marvel Rivals video, showcasing some of my favorite recent plays. Like I mentioned in the title, I'm constantly trying to get better with Thor, and it's been an incredibly rewarding journey so far! Playing as the God of Thunder in Marvel Rivals is such a blast, and I wanted to share a bit more about my personal experience and what I've learned while grinding with him. Thor is a powerhouse, but he’s not just about blindly swinging Mjolnir. His kit demands a good understanding of timing and positioning. For me, mastering his Hammer Throw (Mjolnir's Might) is crucial. It's not just for damage; it’s excellent for poking enemies, interrupting abilities, and even setting up for a closer engagement. I often use it to pressure backlines or finish off fleeing targets. Don't forget that recall damage! Knowing when to call Mjolnir back through an enemy can double your impact. Then there’s his Bifrost (God of Thunder). This ability is a game-changer for mobility and bursting down enemies. I usually try to use it to close gaps quickly, especially on squishier targets or to chase down someone trying to escape. Combining the Bifrost with a quick Hammer Throw can deal massive burst damage. It’s also a fantastic escape tool if you find yourself in a tight spot. Learning the sweet spot for its range and how to aim it effectively has been a big part of my effort to get better with him. His Thunder Clap (Crushing Blow) is your bread-and-butter AoE and crowd control. It’s perfect for clearing objectives, stunning multiple enemies in a team fight, or just creating space. I often save it for when I'm diving into a group or when an enemy is trying to push our team. The stun gives your teammates precious seconds to follow up. Landing a perfect Thunder Clap after a Bifrost dive feels incredibly satisfying and often leads to a quick elimination. And let's not forget his ultimate, Ragnarok. This is where Thor truly shines in a team fight. The sheer power and area denial it provides can turn the tide of a match. I typically use it when the enemy team is grouped up or pushing a choke point, aiming to catch as many as possible in its radius. It's not just about the damage; the disruption it causes allows your team to capitalize. Timing is everything with Ragnarok – using it defensively to peel for allies or offensively to secure kills. What I'm still focusing on to continue to get better with Thor is my energy management and understanding specific character matchups. Sometimes I find myself rushing in too aggressively and getting focused down, so improving my awareness of enemy cooldowns and my own positioning is key. Also, learning how to counter specific heroes who can easily dodge his abilities or punish his aggression is a constant learning process. Every highlight I make shows a moment where I managed to apply these lessons, and I hope to share even more refined strategies in the future!
