This past year i’ve really been working on becoming a happier version of myself! It takes a lot of time to figure out what makes you feel happier and can take awhile to adapt.

🌸 stop caring about what other people think of you

- i know this is way easier said than done but it’s true, once you stop caring about what others have to say it’s very freeing. you have to remember your life is for YOU not anyone else. don’t change your life for others and stay true to you, that’s how you find people who really love you for you. it also makes being alone easier because you know yourself and what you like, you’re not just going with what everyone else is doing or saying!

🌸 choose yourself!

- what i mean by this is stop waiting for other people to choose you or reach out. if you want someone to do something for you and they won’t, do it for yourself! if someone asks you to do something you don’t want to, then don’t! choosing yourself is putting your well being first and choosing to stand up for yourself. this has been hard for me because i’ve always been a people pleaser and i’ve just learned to tell people “no” when i don’t want to do something. i found myself always dropping everything on a dime to help others, but when it was my turn they weren’t there to help me. the only thing that fixed this was my choice to choose me first.
