Skateboard Progress

Working on customizing a skateboard has been one of the most rewarding DIY projects I've taken on. One of the key aspects of such a project is sealing the artwork properly. Using high-quality sealants not only protects the art from scratches and wear but also enhances the vibrancy of the colors. I’ve experimented with different sealants, including polyurethane and epoxy resin, each offering distinct finishes and durability. Applying multiple thin coats, and allowing adequate drying time between, ensures a smooth and lasting finish. If you’re thinking about a similar project, I recommend starting with a clear plan inspired by your favorite music or themes that resonate with you personally. This gives your work authenticity and a story, making it more meaningful. Also, don't rush the sealing process; patience yields better results. Throughout this skateboard project, drawing inspiration from "Cherry Waves" gave me a creative boost, fusing music and art into a tangible piece you can ride or display. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see progress step by step and anticipate the final sealed board — a unique blend of skate culture and personalized artistry.
