From my personal experience during my hardest semester, I learned that staying motivated requires not only dedication but also a strong support system and faith in oneself. Grading can be tough, with assignments like dosage calculations carrying heavy weight and often determining a significant part of your final grade. For instance, achieving perfect scores on dosage calculation attempts, as I've managed to do (100 out of 100 points), was crucial for maintaining my GPA and confidence. It’s essential to manage time effectively and embrace every feedback from instructors, no matter how critical, as it helps refine skills and knowledge. Each graded submission, whether scoring 94, 96, or 98 out of 100, taught me the importance of precision in nursing—an area where errors can be costly in real-life practice. Embracing challenges and learning from mistakes transformed my anxiety into resilience. Moreover, celebrating small wins is key. Saying 'still standing' after grueling semesters is not just about survival but growth. Sometimes, leaning on faith and gratitude—giving praise when milestones are met—fuels your passion and reminds you of the purpose behind all the hard work: to become a competent and compassionate nurse. For those currently in nursing school or planning to enroll, my journey underscores that struggle is part of the process but perseverance leads to success. You’re not alone—even when it seems overwhelming, remember every point counts towards your goal. Trust in the process, seek support from peers and mentors, and keep your eyes on the prize. Your nursing degree will open doors to a fulfilling and impactful career, and every challenge faced today is preparing you for the responsibilities of tomorrow.
