So i fell down hard at work and hurt my hands and knees, so i took a couple days off to chill and rest my hand, so needless to say I got some catching up to do!
The Yarn I used for this square was left over yarn from my bday yarn my bestie got me. Its so soft and squishy. I made a hat for myself and then this square. Love it
Hi fellow crafters! It’s amazing how a simple crochet project can bring so much comfort, especially when you need a little pick-me-up. After a bit of an accident that left me with some sore hands and knees, diving back into my '365 Granny Square Challenge 2025' was just what I needed. There’s something incredibly therapeutic about the rhythmic motion of crocheting, isn't there? It’s not just about creating something beautiful; it’s about the process, the focus, and the quiet moments of peace it brings. This particular square, my 14th for the challenge, was made with some truly special yarn. It was leftover from a birthday gift from my bestie – a whole stash of yarn that was both vibrant and oh-so-soft and squishy. Using a yarn that holds sentimental value somehow makes the finished piece even more precious. It reminds me of her kindness and the joy of creating. If you’re looking to start a new project, I highly recommend finding a yarn that truly speaks to you, whether it’s for its color, texture, or even a sweet memory attached to it. Granny squares are fantastic for so many reasons. They’re relatively quick to make, perfect for using up scraps, and the possibilities for combining colors and patterns are endless. This 'vibrant, multicolored crocheted granny square' I made is a testament to that! They’re also a brilliant way to practice new stitches or just get back into the swing of things after a break. And joining a challenge like the '365 Granny Square Challenge' can be incredibly motivating. It gives you a daily goal and a wonderful community to share your progress with. For anyone thinking about starting their own granny square journey, don't be intimidated! All you really need are a hook, some yarn, and a basic understanding of stitches like chains, single crochet, and double crochet. There are tons of free patterns and video tutorials online that can walk you through the process step-by-step. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colors – that’s where the real fun often begins. And remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Each handmade stitch tells a story. Crafting, especially during times of recovery or when you just need to slow down, offers so many benefits beyond the finished product. It’s a wonderful way to keep your hands busy, calm your mind, and feel productive even when you might not be at your usual pace. It helps take your mind off things and channels your energy into something positive. So, if you're feeling a bit down or just need a creative outlet, pick up that hook or needle. You might just surprise yourself with the comfort and joy it brings, one soft, squishy square at a time.

hope you feel better! are you planning to make a blanket?
