Whether you are a fan of Ted Lasso or not, Richmond, England is truly a gem of a place.
Richmond is a smaller town just southwest of London. It has the most charm of all the places in England we visited. It is a very affluent town that feels like a British sitcom would take place where young 20-something year olds share a stunning flat and attend a local pub nightly.
We had the best English breakfast here and enjoyed the most beautiful sunny day.
It also has a train that takes you directly into London within 30 min. It was our best decision to stay here and travel into London. I would do it again in a heart beat.
Very walkable, great shopping, affordable hotels available, and great transportation.

Accessibility is another plus; a direct train service allows for a swift 30-minute ride into central London, making Richmond an ideal base for exploring the capital while enjoying a more relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're wandering along the River Thames or sipping a pint at a local pub, Richmond is a delightful destination that promises both fun and relaxation.
