Cherish the Night

I have been working on taking a created piece of my own and layering in AI to create a specific collage and then transferring the image to animation. I hear "collage" and think of grade school, but collages are gaining in popularity again. with the cold winter days we have recently had, what better time to work on something new? Now the gray skies of February have cleared, and with Mardi Gras now behind us, many of us step into a season characterized by self-sacrifice and discipline. This period is not just about giving up a favorite food or habit; it’s also an opportunity to set and achieve larger goals, whether they are significant or minor. It represents a season of growth and improvement—a chance to focus on forgiveness, extend a helping hand to others, and delve into the deeper significance of self-discipline. As the world around us begins to renew, so can we.

As Mardi Gras begins to wane,

the festivities slowly come to a close,

With laughter and vibrant colors, the joy still glows.

A sensory feast, what a lovely sight,

Fat Tuesday murmurs, “Cherish the night!”

On streets alive with music, the masks whirl and twirl,

Every face shares a tale, revealing the fun that unfurls.

From near and far, revelers don their bright disguise,

With masks concealing secrets, hidden deep in their eyes.

Indulgent cakes and sweet delights, our final taste of glee,

As Lent gently approaches, the moment draws near.

From New Orleans’ joyful parades to Brazil’s dazzling flair,

The essence of Carnival fills the atmosphere.

So let’s raise our glasses, let our memories glow,

For soon we will gather, in happiness, and flow.

With laughter and melodies, our hearts will be light,

In the dance of the masks, we’re all wild and bright!
