Traveling to 13 different states in the US is an incredible journey that offers a wide range of experiences, as I’ve found from my own trips. From the rugged, stunning wilderness of Alaska to the tropical paradise of Hawaii, each state has its own unique charm and attractions. One of the things I loved about Alaska is its breathtaking landscapes—mountains, glaciers, and wildlife. It’s a destination perfect for outdoor lovers who enjoy hiking, fishing, or simply soaking in nature's beauty. Contrasting that, Hawaii’s beaches and vibrant culture offer a perfect escape with a tropical vibe and plenty of opportunities for surfing and exploring volcanic landscapes. Florida is not just about theme parks; the Everglades and the coastlines also provide amazing natural attractions and wildlife encounters. Colorado's mountains are great for skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer, and just enjoying amazing scenic drives. Oregon stands out for its lush forests, waterfalls, and charming small towns, offering a peaceful retreat. Visiting 26% of the US states so far has given me a broader understanding of America's diverse culture and geography. Each state has its own personality and specialties—from food to festivals to landscapes. I recommend travelers take the time to explore less-touristy areas within their favorite states to get an authentic local experience.
