... Read moreAttending festivals like Bieberchella and Coachella is an amazing experience filled with great music and a vibrant atmosphere. However, I’ve become increasingly aware of the environmental footprint these events can leave, especially concerning microplastics. From disposable bottles to single-use packaging, our fun sometimes comes at a cost to the planet.
One thing I’ve started doing is carrying a reusable water bottle, which I refill throughout the day to avoid contributing to plastic waste. It’s a small step, but every refill helps reduce single-use plastic. At one point, I googled 'what happens when you swallow toothpaste foam' and 'is my toothpaste toxic,' which made me think more seriously about the products I use daily—not just at festivals but at home.
Also, being mindful while using personal care products that may contain microplastics can lessen our environmental impact. Switching to natural or microplastic-free toothpaste and cosmetics has made me feel part of the solution rather than the problem. It’s empowering to know that individual choices at events and in our daily routines can collectively influence a healthier planet.
Whether you’re a festival goer or just like vibing to your favorite artists, balancing enjoyment with eco-conscious habits is key. Let's keep loving the music and each other while making thoughtful choices about the environment around us.
