It’s time to learn about your cycle!

1/15 Edited to

... Read moreLearning about your menstrual cycle is truly empowering. Like many, I grew up with very limited knowledge—mostly just that periods happen once a month. But through engaging in cycle literacy sessions, I realized how much my body communicates beyond just bleeding. Tracking symptoms like mood changes, energy levels, and physical sensations throughout the cycle has helped me understand patterns that were invisible before. This awareness is crucial, especially given the systemic gaps in reproductive health education. When you understand how your cycle works—from the hormonal fluctuations to the different phases like follicular and luteal—you can better anticipate changes and advocate with your healthcare providers. It’s not just about managing periods; it’s about holistic health and self-care. One of the most valuable things I learned is how educating myself on my body’s rhythms gave me confidence in making decisions—from choosing birth control methods to addressing symptoms like cramps or mood swings. These 1:1 Cycle Literacy Sessions fill in the gaps mainstream education often misses by providing clear language and context around cycle phases and reproductive health. If you’ve ever felt uneasy or confused about your menstrual cycle, know that it’s not your fault. Taking the time to learn and track your cycle can transform how you experience your body and open doors to better reproductive healthcare. Joining communities or sessions focused on cycle literacy might just be the key to unlocking that confidence and understanding. Remember, understanding your body is the first step to advocating for it.
