Bitmain's collaboration with Poolin in developing a cutting-edge cryptocurrency mining facility in Pyote, Texas, marks a significant advancement toward sustainable mining operations. Spanning 145 acres with a total load capacity of 600MW, this data center harnesses renewable energy sources including wind, solar, and natural gas, reflecting an industry shift to greener energy consumption. The first phase of the project, completed with 100MW in March 2022, has already been operational, featuring the ANTSPACE HK3 hydro cooling container system. This advanced cooling technology supports approximately 47,000 hydro-cooled ANTMINER S19 Pro+ Hyd units, which are among the most energy-efficient miners available, boasting a hash rate of 198 terahashes per second and power efficiency rated at 27.5 joules per terahash. Hydro cooling offers considerable advantages over traditional air cooling by maintaining safer operational temperatures, reducing noise, and minimizing dust and other environmental factors that could impact miner lifespan and performance.
