a classic Shanghainese restaurant that's popular with both locals and tourists. if you're looking to try authentic Shanghai cuisine, this is one spot you shouldn't miss!

๐Li Bai Xie (ๆ็ฝ่น)
if you're a crab roe lover, this place is a dream come true
we purchased the 3-person set voucher on Dianping and it came with:
๐ฆ3 different crab roe noodle dishes
๐ฆcrab roe dumpling
๐ฆ4 pieces of drunken prawns
๐ฌ2 bowls of dessert
all that for around S$70, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering the quality and portion size!
๐Dingxing Road Danbing (ๅฎๅ ด่ทฏ่้ฅผ)
looking for a breakfast spot or a quick snack? add this famous danbing stall to your list!
i arrived at around 10am and waited close to 45 minutes in the queue ๐ but it was absolutely worth it. the danbing was freshly made, packed with ingredients, and they offer plenty of fillings to choose from. you can even customise your own combination! ๐ณ๐ฅ
๐YAKITORI (Dagu Road Branch)
i actually found this place while scrolling through Dianping and was immediately drawn in by their adorable rice set meals ๐ฑ
thankfully, it wasn't just cute ๐ it was genuinely good too! definitely a great option if you're craving Japanese food in Shanghai after days of Chinese cuisine.
