My Altars!
These are my three Altar spaces. Not including my spell work and divination workspace. First altar is a mix up. That’s where I work with my spirits, and occasionally with Helios and my familiar. I regularly feed my spirits or give offerings. My second altar I don’t use much but it’s still there as a sign of respect and love. That altar is for my spirit guides- they see themselves as my guardians. I talk with them a lot through divination or my Clair senses. And lastly my altar for the God and Goddess Eros and Psyche. I’ve had this altar the longest. I frequently give offerings for them. Music, poetry, fruit, bread, roses or other flowers. They really enjoy their altar, quite protective over the sacred space.

Is it a specific deity like Eros or Apollo, your spirit guides, or perhaps a general space for ancestral connection or manifestation? Once you have that focus, finding a quiet corner or even a small shelf can become your sacred spot. When it comes to making your altar truly 'you' and aesthetically pleasing, there are so many ways to infuse your personality and purpose. I find that choosing items that resonate with the energy you want to evoke is crucial. For instance, my altar for Eros and Psyche features beautiful pink crystals, delicate butterfly decorations, and always fresh flowers like roses, reflecting their gentle yet passionate energy. I even include candy hearts and special jewelry for them. For my spirit guides, I lean into a more serene aesthetic with white flowers, angel figurines, and often a golden chalice and a brass bell for calling them. The white candles on many of my altars bring a sense of purity and focus, which I find really grounding. Don't be afraid to incorporate statues, unique figurines, or even a golden sun mirror to amplify the energy. A soft, fluffy rug can also add a cozy, inviting feel to your space. Offerings are a beautiful way to show respect and build a connection. For Eros and Psyche, I frequently offer music, poetry, fruit, bread, and flowers – they absolutely adore these tangible signs of devotion. For my spirits and guides, regular offerings or even just a quiet conversation through divination or my clair senses helps maintain that bond. I like to keep my spaces clean and tidy, regularly refreshing offerings and dusting around my special items. This act of care helps keep the energy clear and vibrant.
