Oh my goodness, I just have to gush about my latest dining experience at Cesarina in San Diego! You know how much I love finding a spot that’s not just about the food, but the whole vibe? Well, Cesarina absolutely nails it. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by such an elegant dining room that instantly transports you. It’s got that perfect blend of upscale and cozy, making it ideal for a special night out or just a really delightful dinner. Let's talk about the food, because that's where Cesarina truly shines. First off, you absolutely cannot skip the focaccia bread – it arrives warm and fluffy with a delicious small cup of sauce that’s just perfect for dipping. It's a fantastic start to the meal! Then, onto the main event: the pasta. They are famous for their handmade pasta, and for good reason. What I loved most about their menu is the customizable Pastificio section. You get to choose your pasta shape – from classic spaghetti to more unique options – and then pair it with your favorite sauce and toppings. It’s such a fun way to create your perfect dish, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. I tried a pasta dish topped with beautifully grated cheese and fresh basil, and it was simply divine. Beyond the pasta, their menu has so many tempting options. Their Insalate collection is fantastic. I highly recommend the Cavolletti, Mele e Pecorino salad. It features shaved brussels sprouts, crisp apples, crunchy walnuts, savory Pecorino Romano cheese, and fresh basil – a perfect blend of flavors and textures. Seriously, it's a must-try! And for drinks, I spotted a vibrant pink beverage, garnished with a lemon slice and mint, which looked as refreshing as it tasted. It really added to the festive atmosphere. Overall, my experience at Cesarina was a solid 9/10. The beautiful ambiance, combined with the truly delicious and authentic Italian food, made for an unforgettable evening.
