Trying and failing to try again
I’ve been going through a lot lately and I feel it’s time to be honest with myself.
Getting back in touch with God is what I’ve been working on and I am finally beginning to understand His patience with me and humanity as a whole. Ever been told that God waits for no one? That time is not on your side when it comes to Him? Completely false and a lie. God is ALWAYS there. Watching, waiting, expecting. I remember the story of the prodigal son in the Bible (Luke15:11-32) how he left home to go wild out basically (💀)and returned to his father only to be accepted with welcome open arms and a feast full celebration.
I’ve been out in the world in mind and behavior and am FULLY, not partially, returning to God. It’s a slow process but this story encourages me that God hasn’t left me I left Him. That if I can’t hear God clearly He wasn’t the one who moved, I was. I am forever grateful for Gods patience with me even it takes a matter of time I constantly find myself back in front of Him regardless of my sin. He forgives and forgets but that doesn’t mean I abuse that by constantly doing what I want to do. True repentance is this exact definition and I am learning to practice it. I don’t want one foot out and one foot in with God because He doesn’t halfway work with me, so I shouldn’t do it to Him.
Anyone else with a similar story/encouragement?
