MAD HIPPIE EDITION

So if you ever head of Mad Hippie, they sell these skincare products and Sprouts if you guys have one. I think I have seen them at ULTA as well. So here is a run down of these products. ✨

To begin with these skin care product are NON -COMEDOGENIC. Yes you read that right! Which means it will NOT CLOG YOUR PORES. Every akin care lover dreams 😩

I’ve also scanned them on the Yuka app so you won’t have too. They are VEGAN and formulated with non toxic ingredient. If you’re looking for something healthy and safe to use.

The only DOWNSIDE is their SPF product seem to have pretty bad ingredients but that because they use chemical sunscreen instead of mineral sunscreen.

Over all, has anyone ever used this skin care line? What are your opinions? Comment down below and let’s chat! If you have use this line have u seen a difference ? ✨🤗

... Read moreOkay, so building on my initial thoughts about Mad Hippie, I really wanted to dive deeper into why the Yuka app ratings are so insightful, especially for those of us trying to switch to cleaner beauty. When I first started scanning, I was genuinely impressed by so many of their products, and it definitely helped me understand their "non-toxic" claim better. Let's talk about the stars of the show first. The Mad Hippie Vitamin C Toning Mist with its perfect 100/100 Yuka score? Absolutely blew me away. Knowing it’s packed with 19 actives and gets such a clean bill of health from Yuka makes me feel great about spritzing it on my face daily. I've noticed my skin feels more refreshed and looks a bit brighter since I started using it, which is exactly what you want from a Vitamin C product! Then there's the Mad Hippie Super A Serum. With a 93/100 rating and boasting 15 actives including retinoids and bakuchiol, it's become a staple in my evening routine. I was specifically looking for something to help with fine lines and overall skin texture without harshness, and this serum delivers. I haven't taken "before and after" photos, but I genuinely feel my skin has a smoother appearance and a more even tone. It’s comforting to know I’m getting those powerful anti-aging ingredients without compromising on safety. And for those looking for a complete overhaul, the Mad Hippie Skin Brightening Routine kit got an 86/100, which is still fantastic! It includes their Vitamin C Serum, an AHA Exfoliating Peel, and the Triple C Night Cream. I've been using this kit periodically, and the combination really does give a noticeable glow. The AHA peel is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, and the Triple C Night Cream feels incredibly nourishing, making my skin feel plump by morning. It's great to see a kit with such high Yuka ratings for multiple products. Now, for the part that always gets a little tricky: sunscreens. As I mentioned, their SPF products didn't fare as well on the Yuka app. Both the Mad Hippie Daily Protective Serum (a 30+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum zinc sunscreen) and the Mad Hippie Luminizing SPF (a 29+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum zinc oxide sunscreen) received a "Poor" rating of 47/100. This is primarily because, despite being zinc-based, Yuka's algorithm often flags certain chemical sunscreen filters or other ingredients used in the formulation that might be considered irritants or potential endocrine disruptors by their standards. While some people are perfectly fine with chemical sunscreens, my personal preference, guided by Yuka's insights, leans towards mineral sunscreens with simpler formulations. It’s a good reminder to always check the full ingredient list if you have specific sensitivities or concerns. If you’re like me and prefer a super clean SPF, you might need to look for alternatives, even if you love the rest of the Mad Hippie line. Overall, my experience with Mad Hippie has been overwhelmingly positive for most of their line, especially when focusing on those highly-rated serums and mists. It just goes to show that while a brand might generally be "non-toxic," it's always worth doing a quick scan with Yuka or checking the ingredients yourself for every single product, especially something as crucial as a face cream or sunscreen that you apply daily. It helps me make truly informed choices for my skin's health!
