If you don’t regularly exercise…

How do you feel?

How do you sleep?

What do you do instead?

I generally work and talk with people who exercise. Exercise has changed me. It’s a super important part of every day for me.

What about people who don’t exercise?

How can I share the joy I’ve found? Movement to me is healing.

Now exercise doesn’t have to be at the gym. It can be walking your dog. It can be playing with your kids. It can be dancing to your favorite song everyday. There’s no right or wrong.

I think movement feels so good and I want to help others feel good. I want to share my joy. The more we share, the more we all get.

I think women should be lifting weights.

I think everyone should be walking daily.

I think we can all think about our food a little more deeply, where did it come from, how does it make me feel, etc.

I think we can all do a better job of helping our neighbors.

I think we could all do a better job of cutting ourselves some slack, and giving ourselves more self love and attention. We cannot pour from an empty cup.

If any of this resonates with you, I might be the personal trainer you are looking for. I specialize in helping people find movement again, after a break, after an injury, an illness; after a life change. Movement is always there waiting.

I hope to help you find a comfortable relationship with movement so that you can find joy in your body.

In the US, only 24.2% of adults meet both aerobic and muscle-strengthening guidelines, according to the CDC. This lack of exercise can negatively impact how you feel emotionally and physically, affecting sleep quality, energy levels, and general mood. Regular movement—even simple activities such as walking your dog, playing with children, or dancing to music—offers numerous benefits beyond just fitness. Exercise is not only healing but essential for maintaining mental health, reducing stress, and enhancing self-love. Women, in particular, benefit from integrating weightlifting into their routines to build strength and bone density. Developing a sustainable relationship with movement is vital. The emphasis should be on enjoyable activities rather than rigid routines. Approaching exercise with compassion and flexibility helps prevent burnout and fosters consistency. Nutrition also plays a critical role; being mindful about food origins and their effects on mood and energy complements physical activity. Community support and social connection further enhance the motivation to stay active. Helping neighbors and sharing the joy found through movement can create a positive feedback loop, increasing well-being for everyone involved. This holistic approach—addressing exercise, diet, mental health, and social bonds—empowers individuals to live fuller, more vibrant lives. For those facing setbacks such as injury, illness, or life changes, professional guidance can help reintroduce movement safely and comfortably. Personalized coaching supports rediscovering joy in the body and building confidence. Movement is always waiting to be embraced at any fitness level, offering a path to healing and happiness.
