Free Beginner Japanese Resources I Actually Used

A while ago, I posted a picture of my grade from a Japanese test, and somehow… it’s still blowing up 😭

So I wanted to share a big part of how I even got there.

When I first started learning Japanese, I was given this free beginner resource that honestly made things feel way less intimidating. It’s a website called Irodori, and it has three beginner textbooks with audio included, all designed for real-life Japanese.

If you’re just starting out or feel stuck at the basics, this is such a solid place to begin. No gatekeeping — this is literally what I used when I knew almost nothing 🇯🇵✨

Learning a language takes time, but having the right resources makes a huge difference.
