MLP x Sims 4
I’m so sad about TikTok this has very much made me realize how important diversifying platforms is…it sucks as soon as I started growing the ban just loomed. Sigh…I hope it all works out #vent
Okay, so you guys know how much I adore both My Little Pony and The Sims 4, right? Well, I finally combined my two passions and spent an amazing weekend bringing all my favorite My Little Pony characters to life right inside my Sims 4 game! It was such a fun creative challenge, and I just had to share how I did it and what it was like. First off, the character creation process was surprisingly detailed. I wanted to make sure I created all the characters from Equestria as accurately as possible. For Twilight Sparkle, I focused on making her intelligent and a bit bookish, giving her traits like ‘Genius’ and ‘Bookworm.’ Her purple skin tone and vibrant mane were a blast to recreate using custom skin details and hair. Rainbow Dash was all about speed and daring, so I picked athletic traits and, of course, her signature rainbow hair. Pinkie Pie was probably the easiest and most fun – ‘Goofball’ and ‘Cheerful’ traits were a must, and finding the perfect pink skin and curly hair made her instantly recognizable. I even tried to capture their cutie marks through custom tattoos or clothing details! One of the coolest parts is imagining a 'Sims 4 MLP legacy challenge.' What if my My Little Pony Sims had to uphold the Element of Harmony for generations? Or maybe they'd live in different themed neighborhoods representing Ponyville, Cloudsdale, or Canterlot. I’ve been thinking about setting up a challenge where each generation has to master a different skill related to their Element – like a friendship-focused Sim, or one dedicated to honesty. It adds a whole new dimension to gameplay and makes me think about their stories even more deeply. And for those who want actual ponies, not just pony-inspired Sims, let's talk about the 'Sims 4 pony mod'! While I focused on humanized versions for my initial creations, I know there are incredible mods out there that can transform your Sims into actual equine creatures, or even add rideable ponies to your game. These mods can totally change the gameplay, allowing for true equestrian adventures or even building a full-on Ponyville. I haven't dived into those yet, but they're definitely on my list for expanding my Sims 4 My Little Pony universe! Imagine having Fluttershy with her actual animal friends, or Applejack tending to her apple farm with real ponies by her side. It’s incredible how much you can do with custom content and a little imagination. If you're a fan of both My Little Pony and Sims 4, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s a fantastic way to stretch your creativity and bring a bit of magic into your game. What MLP characters would you create first? Let me know below!
