Fenty Beauty Luminous Foundation❤️7/10
I love Fenty Beauty but Im not sure if Sephora color matched me correctly. In bright lighting I look a tad bit orange. Also, I personally do not like foundations that need a few minutes to set into my skin. I love the texture and ingredients tho‼️👏🏾 Ill try a different shade next time. #lemon8review #lemon8contest #fentybeauty #foundation #makeup
Hey everyone! So, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into my experience with the Fenty Beauty Luminous Foundation, especially since my initial review was quite brief. After trying it out a few more times, I've gathered some extra thoughts and tips that might help you decide if it's right for you. First off, let's talk about the shade matching dilemma. I mentioned feeling a bit orange in bright lighting, and this is such a common struggle, especially when shopping for foundation! My biggest learning has been to always test shades in natural daylight, if possible, rather than just under store lights. I’ve found that swatching a few shades on your jawline and letting them sit for a few minutes can reveal their true color as they oxidize. For Fenty, with its huge range, it's tempting to pick quickly, but taking your time (and maybe even getting samples if available) is crucial. Next time, I’m definitely going to try a shade with a slightly cooler undertone or even mix two shades to get that perfect custom match. Have any of you had similar issues with luminous foundations pulling orange? Let me know your tricks! Beyond the shade, the luminous finish itself is gorgeous. It truly gives that healthy, radiant glow without looking greasy. To enhance this, I’ve experimented with different application methods. For a more natural, sheer luminosity, I love using a damp beauty sponge. If I want more coverage while maintaining the glow, a dense foundation brush works wonders, but I always finish by pressing it in with a sponge to melt it into the skin. Lately, I've been loving pairing it with a glowy primer underneath, focusing the primer on the high points of my face. One thing I initially wasn't keen on was the setting time. I'm used to foundations that dry down almost instantly. However, I've found that giving the Fenty Luminous Foundation a few minutes to settle can actually be beneficial. It allows the formula to really meld with your skin's natural oils, creating a more seamless, skin-like finish. If you're in a rush like me, a light dusting of translucent setting powder on your T-zone can speed things up without dulling the luminous effect too much. Now, how does this foundation fit into a full luminous makeup look? This is where it really shines! To complement that radiant base, I love adding a pop of liquid or cream highlighter to my cheekbones, brow bones, and cupid's bow. For a striking yet cohesive look, I've been inspired by looks featuring vibrant eyeshadows, like a pop of blue or white on the inner corner, paired with long, fluttery lashes and a super glossy lip. This kind of eye makeup really makes the whole face feel cohesive and glamorous, creating a focal point while the luminous skin provides a beautiful canvas. Don't forget a setting spray designed to enhance glow – it locks everything in while boosting that radiant finish. Overall, despite my initial shade matching hiccup, I'm still impressed with the Fenty Beauty Luminous Foundation's texture and ingredients. It feels lightweight on the skin and doesn't cling to dry patches. With a bit of patience for shade finding and application, it truly delivers a beautiful, healthy glow. It's definitely a foundation I'll keep experimenting with to get that perfect luminous complexion! What are your favorite tips for achieving a glowing look?
