Sundays Are Always, Well.. CRAZY 🤪
As a mom and wife, Sundays often begin with a whirlwind of activity that tests patience and organization. From the moment the alarm goes off, it’s a race against time to get everyone out of the house and ready for church. I can totally relate to the feeling of having less than 40 minutes to shower, dress the kids, prepare bags, and manage last-minute snacks like brownies and chicken nuggets. One thing that really helps me stay sane is embracing the chaos and finding humor in the little moments—like pleading kids to get in the car or the unexpected messes that pop up just as you think you’re ready to leave. Shouting “It’s time to go!” becomes a daily anthem. And yes, multitasking while driving, keeping an eye on the kids, and jamming out to uplifting music is all part of the Sunday routine. For those juggling similar challenges, prepping as much as possible the night before makes a huge difference. Laying out clothes, packing diaper bags, and even prepping snacks can alleviate the pressure during those hectic moments. Also, involving the kids with small, age-appropriate tasks can turn the mad rush into a team effort. Finally, despite the chaos, Sundays bring a special rhythm of family and faith. The anticipation of spending time at church and sharing those moments with loved ones is a motivation that carries through the craziness. Remembering to breathe, enjoy the music, and appreciate the little victories of getting everyone out the door safely makes the whirlwind worth it every week.
