Hi friends 💛 I want to open my heart and share the story behind my scars, strength, and calling.
👶🏻 It started early.
At just 6 months old, I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. My childhood was filled with pain, prayer, and perseverance.
📖 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” —Jeremiah 1:5
💔 A life-changing storm.
When I was 8, I fell into a coma due to sepsis. I woke up four months later, forever changed—missing toes and fingertips, but filled with unexplainable peace.
God had preserved my life for a reason.
📖 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18
🛠️ Countless surgeries followed:
• Hip replacement at 13
• Mastoidectomy
• Craniotomy (brain surgery)
• Bladder implant
• Bariatric surgery in 2024
Each scar became a marker of survival and a testimony of God’s presence in the fire.
📖 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” —Isaiah 43:2
🕊️ Pain led me to purpose.
Today, I’m studying to become a chaplain for chronically ill children. I want to be a voice of comfort, a presence of peace, and a vessel of hope.
📖 “We comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” —2 Corinthians 1:4
🌱 I walk by faith, not by ease.
Disability doesn’t define me—God’s call does. My heart beats with compassion because I know what it means to suffer and to survive.
📖 “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” —2 Corinthians 12:9
🫶🏼 This isn’t just my story—it’s God’s story through me.

Chronic illness can be a daunting journey, often leading to challenges that test our spirit. For many, finding purpose in pain becomes a transformative experience. Stories like mine illustrate that through faith and perseverance, healing can manifest in unexpected ways. From the age of six months, I faced the struggles of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that has shaped my life. At eight, a life-threatening coma forced me to confront my mortality, yet I emerged renewed, with a deeper awareness of God’s presence. Each surgery, from hip replacement to craniotomy, etched personal markers into my skin, signifying survival and relentless hope. The Bible provides comfort for those in despair, reminding us in Psalm 34:18 that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” This resonates deeply with my mission: to share God's comfort through my eventual role as a chaplain. I aim to support chronically ill children and their families by being a beacon of peace during their darkest times. In the words of 2 Corinthians 1:4, “We comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” My journey is not just one of suffering; it is about thriving amid adversity, showing that grace can unfold within our hardships. For those navigating similar struggles, remember that faith can redefine your narrative. Embrace each scar and story as powerful reminders of resilience, and let your journey inspire others. We are never alone, and together, through shared experiences, we can find strength and hope.
