🌙 Saturday night stillness | May 31 🌙
The sun is setting on the last day of May, and my heart is full — not of answers, but of awareness.
This month held its share of stretching and surrender.
I showed up for others. I tried to show up for myself. I tried to show up for God.
Being a chaplain-in-training means learning to be present — even in the quiet, even when it’s hard, even when I don’t feel “ready.”
Tonight, I’m not rushing into June.
I’m sitting with what was, blessing what is, and gently holding what’s to come.
🕊 “May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely.” — 1 Thess. 5:23
🎵 Song Suggestion:
🎶 “Peace” by Hillsong Young & Free
“You will stay true even when the lies come… Your peace won’t be shaken…” 🌌
What are you leaving behind in May? or 🌱 What are you carrying into June with intention?

As we transition from May to June, it’s important to understand the significance of stillness and reflection in our lives. The act of sitting with our thoughts and feelings can lead to deeper awareness and personal growth. Whether it’s through journaling, meditation, or simply taking a moment to breathe, we encourage you to find your own ways to embrace stillness. Many individuals, particularly those in ministry or supportive roles, often face challenges in balancing their care for others with self-care. It is crucial to remember that being present for oneself is just as important as being there for others. This month, consider what you are releasing from May—negative thoughts, stress, or regrets—and what you are bringing into June with intention—empowerment, peace, and clarity. You might explore various practices that promote peace and mindfulness. For instance, listening to uplifting music like "Peace" by Hillsong Young & Free might resonate with your journey, providing comforting messages that reinforce a tranquil mindset. Cultivating mindfulness through dedicated moments of silence can further enhance your ability to navigate life’s uncertainties. Hashtags such as #Reflection, #Peace, and #Faith serve to connect those on similar journeys of introspection and growth. Sharing our experiences and thoughts can create a supportive community, enabling us to uplift one another. Embrace opportunities to share your reflections and join discussions that explore the themes of faith, presence, and serenity. Your journey matters, and through reflection, you can inspire others as well.
