Blessing Bags of Warmth is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness and restoring dignity to individuals and families in crisis. Founded by Sherri McCoy and inspired by compassion and necessity, the organization serves primarily in the metro Atlanta area.
We support unhoused and housing-insecure families through emergency hotel placements, essential supplies, food and hygiene assistance, transportation support, and advocacy-based case management. Our work focuses on single mothers, families with children, seniors, and individuals facing sudden hardship due to eviction, domestic violence, medical crises, or job loss.
What began as one woman and a few volunteers has grown into a trusted community lifeline powered by mutual aid, partnerships, and the belief that no one should be left out in the cold, and that warmth, dignity, and hope can change lives.
