THANKFUL THURSDAY 🦋
Every time I open His Word God breaks bread with me. And I am grateful for every single moment of it.
The disciples on the road to Emmaus walked and talked with Jesus for miles. But it was not until He sat down with them and broke bread that their eyes were opened and they finally recognized Him.
That is what the Word of God does for me every single day.
I open it and suddenly I can see more clearly. The confusion that felt overwhelming starts to make sense. The fear that followed me into the morning starts to lose its grip. The question I did not know how to answer gets met with a truth that only God could have prepared for exactly this moment.
That is not coincidence. That is a daily invitation to sit at the table with Jesus and let Him reveal Himself through His Word.
Some mornings I come to the Word tired. Some mornings I come confused. Some mornings I come with more questions than faith. But I always leave having encountered something real.
Because the Word is alive. It is not a history book. It is a living breathing daily conversation with a God who has something specific to say to you today.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
Alive. Active. Speaking. Every single day.
🌻 Today I am just grateful for the Word. For the daily bread God breaks with me every time I open it. It has never failed to feed my soul.

For instance, Hebrews 4:12 reminds me that God’s Word penetrates beyond surface issues, discerning the intentions of the heart and offering healing that is more than intellectual—it’s deeply spiritual. I’ve learned that consistency is key. Even on days when faith feels fragile or my mind crowded with doubts, persistence in engaging with scripture invites God’s voice to break through the noise. The metaphor of bread is powerful here—it’s not a one-time feast, but daily sustenance that keeps the spirit alive and active.
