SOULFUL SUNDAY
Celebrate where God has you right now.
Not where you thought you would be by now. Not the version of yourself you have been working toward. Right here. Right now. This exact season. This is worth celebrating.
In Luke 15, the father did not wait until the prodigal son had cleaned himself up. Had rebuilt his reputation. Had proven he was ready. He ran to him while he was still on his way. Still messy. Still unfinished. Still becoming.
That is how God meets you today.
You do not have to arrive somewhere before your life is worth honoring. God is not waiting on a finished version of you to celebrate. He is celebrating you in the middle of it.
So today, pause. Look at where you have been. Look at how far He has brought you. Look at who you are right now growing, imperfect, fully loved, and exactly where He has you on purpose.
This season is not a waiting room. It is holy ground.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 (NIV)
Rejoice in this day. Not the day you graduate. Not the day it all makes sense. This one. Today. As you are.

Reflecting on the message of celebrating where God has placed us in the current moment profoundly resonates with many of us in our personal journeys. It can be challenging to feel worthy or to see value in the 'in-between' phases of life when we haven't yet reached our goals or the ideal version of ourselves. However, this soulful encouragement reminds us that God’s grace meets us exactly where we are — unfinished, imperfect, and still becoming. From my experience, embracing this mindset brings peace and gratitude, even when circumstances feel uncertain or far from what I imagined. The story of the prodigal son beautifully illustrates that God does not require us to be 'cleaned up' before accepting us; He runs to us in the midst of our messiness. This perspective helps to dismantle the pressure of always needing to be perfect or have everything figured out before we feel deserving of celebration or love. It invites us to pause and appreciate our growth, the lessons learned, and the purpose in our present path. The verses from Psalms and Ephesians reinforce that we are God's handiwork, fearfully and wonderfully made, affirming that our existence and progress are intentional and meaningful. In practical terms, I’ve found that daily moments of gratitude and acknowledging where I am spiritually and emotionally can reignite motivation and hope. Rather than waiting for future milestones to rejoice, celebrating today fosters a deeper connection with God’s plan and encourages continuous, authentic growth. Ultimately, this approach cultivates resilience and joy, reminding us all that our lives are worthy of honor and celebration right now—not based on completion, but on the sacred journey itself.
