Cozy Game night with me! 💕

My new hyper fixation has been animal crossing:New Horizons ✨

There are so many things to keep you busy all day long!

One of my favorite things to do is go diving for sea creatures and finding scallops!

When you find a scallop, pascal will merge from outside the net and ask you for your scallop. You can always deny but I always say yes and in return; he will give you a gift! Plus some wisdom for a bonus ✨💛

What is your favorite part? 🤔 #shareyourthoughts

... Read moreDiving in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has quickly become one of my absolute favorite ways to unwind on my Nintendo Switch! There's something incredibly therapeutic about slipping on a wet suit and plunging into the ocean, leaving the island chores behind for a while. It's a core part of the ACNH gameplay that I think every player should experience. Getting started is super easy. First, you'll need a wet suit, which you can pick up from Nook's Cranny, the Nook Stop terminal, or even the Able Sisters. Once you've got it, just equip it, head to the beach, and jump in! The controls are very intuitive: press 'A' to swim, and hold 'A' while swimming to dive underwater. When you see bubbles rising to the surface, that's your cue to dive down and investigate. The thrill of the hunt begins as you watch for those tell-tale bubbles in the ocean. They vary in size and frequency, giving you a hint about what kind of creature might be lurking below. Sometimes you'll see a tiny stream, other times a large burst. Diving down, you'll spot a shadowy figure — that's your target! Chasing faster creatures can be a fun challenge; sometimes you need to corner them or dive strategically to cut them off. I've found that patience and quick reflexes are key to catching those speedy specimens. It really adds to the dynamic diving gameplay. My ultimate goal during these underwater excursions is often to find a scallop. These aren't just any sea creature; they're the key to meeting the philosophical otter, Pascal! Scallops usually appear as medium to large shadows with a steady stream of bubbles. Once you snag your first scallop of the day, Pascal will magically appear nearby, offering to trade you for it. I always say yes because in return, he'll give you a fantastic DIY recipe for mermaid furniture or even a precious pearl! Beyond the rewards, I absolutely adore his quirky wisdom and profound daily Pascal quotes. It's such a charming interaction that adds so much character to the game. To make the most of your Animal Crossing: New Horizons diving gameplay, I have a few personal tips. While you can dive at any time of day, some rare sea creatures are only available during specific hours or seasons. Always check your Critterpedia to see what you still need for your museum! Donating new finds to Blathers is essential, but after that, selling duplicates to Nook's Cranny can be a surprisingly lucrative way to earn Bells. I often dedicate an hour or so to just diving, and I end up with a pocketful of Bells and a sense of calm. Playing ACNH on my Nintendo Switch (whether it's my regular Switch or a Nintendo Switch Lite) makes this whole experience even better. The portability means I can dive for sea creatures anywhere – on the couch, in bed, or even outdoors. The immersive sounds of the ocean, combined with the gentle music, create a perfect atmosphere for cozy gaming. It truly is a delightful and endlessly engaging activity that makes my island life feel richer and more adventurous. So, grab your wet suit and dive in; you never know what treasures and wisdom you'll find!
