Ask me if I thought I’d ever be a single mom when my daughter was 1 years old I’d tell you your crazy. I’d tell you I wouldn’t know what to do and my heart would never recover.
So I became a single mom…..
My heart is mending and still in progress…
But, I found what to do and that’s to keep going…
I re-enrolled in school to earn my second Masters Degree in Social Work to further my career and give my daughter a better than I did. It breaks my heart because I feel as if I failed as a mother because I watched my mother do it all as a single mother and I said I would do better. But, my daughter will always have me and as long as I’m alive she’ll have everything and anything 🥹✨🩷
as hard as it gets it only gets better and easier as the days past

Becoming a single mom is one of life's most challenging transitions, but also one filled with profound growth and self-discovery. Many single mothers find strength in pursuing education and career goals, like earning a second Masters Degree in Social Work, not only to improve their livelihood but to secure a brighter future for their children. Balancing motherhood with studies requires determination and resilience. It’s common to face moments of doubt or guilt, especially when comparing oneself to the example set by previous generations. Yet, what truly matters is the unwavering presence and support you provide your child. This commitment can build a foundation of security and love that helps children thrive despite hardships. The aspiration to 'buy her the mockingbird,' metaphorically representing providing joy and stability, speaks to the deep motivation single moms have to give their children everything they deserve. Emotional healing is a gradual process, but with each day, it becomes easier as you grow into your new role. It’s also helpful to connect with communities of moms, like those on social media platforms using hashtags such as #motherhood, #singlemom, and #motivationdaily, to share experiences, encouragement, and practical advice. These supportive networks can provide invaluable reassurance and inspiration on the journey. Ultimately, pursuing your goals while nurturing your child’s future exemplifies a powerful story of perseverance and love, reminding all single moms that despite the difficulties, their efforts make a meaningful difference every day.

Keep going!
